William C. Smith + Co. will host another HOU Career Club Luncheon

On May 6, 2010, William C. Smith + Co. will host another HOU Career Club Luncheon where the next round of job seekers (former residents of Temple Courts) will learn more about the different roles in the Real Estate field.

William C. Smith + Co. participated in HOU’s (Housing Opportunities Unlimited) Job Fair at Walker Jones Library

On Friday, 4/23/10, William C. Smith + Co. participated in HOU’s (Housing Opportunities Unlimited) Job Fair at Walker Jones Library. About 30 employers participated and WCS representatives met prospective job seekers. The president of HOU, (David Connelly) thanked Delan Johnson and Pam Askew personally for WCS’s involvement in the fair, as well as our participation in the Career Club and having the first hire from the Career Club.

William C. Smith + Co. hosted HOU’s first “Career Club” Luncheon

On January 14, 2010, William C. Smith + Co. hosted HOU’s first “Career Club” Luncheon, where several WCS employees discussed with job seekers (former residents of Temple Courts) what it is like to work in the field of Real Estate.

After that meeting, WCS hired a participant from that 1/14/10 meeting and she has now passed her 30-day transition period. She works at Woodberry Village Apartments. As a side note, this employee coaches the Metropolitan Boy’s and Girl’s club (#2 Clubhouse) 10-11u girls basketball team who won District-wide Championship earlier this month. (A William C. Smith + Co employee was on hand for the semi-finalists game and reports they were awesome!)
